Kristen Anne Bell, born 1980 in the United States of America, is an actor as well as a performer. Parents were Tom Bell and Lorelei Frygier who are both news director on television. Her family was from Huntington Woods Michigan. Her heritage includes Polish (mother) as well as German, English, Irish and Scottish (father). Kristen was able to show a flair in the performing arts from the age of a child. She went to her audition in 1992, and was then offered an appearance on Raggedy Ann, and Andy. Bell 13, who was 13 when her mom signed up for an agent, was also auditioned for ads on newspapers and TV. Then she began taking classes in acting. Bell played a small part without credit on the film Polish Wedding (1998), in 1998. Bell was a part of the drama and musical clubs of Shrine Catholic High School. She was a part of Dorothy in the school production in The Wizard of Oz. Bell attended the Tisch School of the Arts where she studied Musical Theater at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York City. Bell completed her studies in 2001, resigned her university studies to perform in the role of Becky in Tom Sawyer. Also in 2001 that Bell made her first appearance in a movie that had been credited, Pootie Tang (2002). Unfortunately her scene is cut off and only the credits depict her. Bell made an appearance together with Angela Bettis and Liam Neeson in 2002's Broadway revival of The Crucible.
